Friday night was packed to capacity with Turnpike Troubadours fans!!! They were in Colorado the weekend before, and are about to head out of state through Arkansas, Kentucky, Ohio, Michigan, Virginia, New York, and into Canada!! Who knows when we will get to see them again!! Great show!

The opening band was very impressive!! It was Jason James out of Galveston, and his first time to play in San Angelo. This guy is good!!! He has a much more traditional sound to his music, which fits his voice, delivery, personality, and style, perfectly. Several people commented that he sounded very much like George Jones. I would have to agree, and the crowd was loving it!!!

Then, we followed  that up on Saturday Night with Jon Wolfe, who put on yet another great show!!! Guys, if you weren't there, you missed a lot of ladies who were! I think we can safely say Jon Wolfe is a Chick magnet!!! Probably two thirds of the audience were women, but everybody, male or female was loving the show. Yet another analogy for you!! A number of people told me that he and his music reminded them of a young George Strait. Again, I would have to agree. He had the look and the sound. He also has a recording contract with Warner/Nashville and a new album coming soon. Great guy and another fun night!!

Kickin' Country 103.1 was right in the middle of the fun with live broadcast both nights. Now, get ready for The Josh Abbott Band Friday, June 13th!! Listen to win your spot on the special "Meet and Greet Guest List", from Kickin' Country 103.1.
