47 Years Ago: Waylon Jennings Married Jessi Colter

47 years ago today on October 26, 1969, Waylon Jennings and Jessi Colter eloped in Las Vegas.

The marriage would last for the country couple until Waylon's passing in 2002.

The pair would go on to record a number of songs including 'Storms Never Last' which was written by Colter. You can click on the above YouTube video link to listen to the song.

On May 19, 1979 nearly ten years into their marriage, the couple had their only child, a son whom they named Waylon Albright "Shooter" Jennings.
