Concho Valley C.A.R.E.S. and the Alcohol & Drug Abuse Council for the Concho Valley will be discussing solutions to underage drinking with an upcoming meeting this Tuesday, March 31st.
I visited with Paulette Shell who is the prevention director for the Concho Valley Council on the 'Kickin' Wake-Up Call' a few days ago and we talked about  the meeting this Tuesday night as being a kickoff to Alcohol Awareness Month which is April.
She told me that this meeting is designed to primarily focus on underage drinking and the opportunity to hear from and have discussions with a panel of professionals in a relaxed atmosphere.
Parents are encouraged to bring their families to participate, especially if you have teenagers who are getting to the age of wanting or needing to talk about underage drinking and would feel comfortable with the issue in a setting such as this.
The meeting is being held this Tuesday, March 31st from 5:30 til 7:30 pm at St. Paul Presbyterian Church. For more information call 224-3481.
