Everyone I talked to had a great time at Blaine's Pub Wednesday night as two bands that had never played in San Angelo entertained in a huge way. Watch to the above video for the full interview.

The opening band calls themselves "The O's". They are a duo out of Dallas - John Pedego and Taylor Young. Both of these guys are extremely talented. They describe their sound as Goodtiming Music and it was! Their third CD is called "Thunderdog" with a fourth album to be released toward the end of the year.

American Aquarium headlined to a packed house and the crowd was loving their sound. They are based out of Raleigh. North Carolina, have been together for about ten years, and during that time have played all over the country and overseas. I don't know when they found the time, but American Aquarium has managed to record seven albums with their eighth scheduled for an early February release.

I enjoyed visiting with frontman B.J. Barham before the show and we talked about playing San Angelo for the first time, how it was their mission to make Wednesday feel like a Saturday night, what their touring schedule was like and the fact that after their 6th album, they almost threw in the towel, but then something wonderful happened.
