Angelo State University’s Mu Gamma chapter of the Kappa Delta Pi (KDP) international honor society for education is hosting a book fair this week to benefit education students.
The book fair runs today through Friday in Gallery 193 of the Carr Education-Fine Arts Building, 2602 Dena Drive.  The sale will close at noon Friday and stay open until 5 p.m. daily, except for an extra hour to 6 p.m. on Thursday.

Books for sale are from Scholastic Inc., a publishing company that specializes in books, magazines and educational programs for children.  For more information, go online to www.scholastic.com/bookfairs/.

Funds raised from the book sale will be used for education student scholarships and professional development, including sending students to conferences.

KDP was founded in 1911 at the University of Illinois to foster excellence in education and promote fellowship among those dedicated to teaching.  The national organization is composed of 667  chapters, and total international membership numbers more than 45,000.  The Mu Gamma Chapter at ASU has been in existence since 1969.
