The Angelo State University Alumni Association will host 69 ASU ring recipients during its annual spring Ring Ceremony this Thursday at the LeGrand Alumni and Visitors Center, 1620 University Ave.
The ceremony will begin at 7 p.m. in the LeGrand Center’s Vincent Pavilion.  Special guest speaker will be Kyle Box, Class of 1981 and former ASU Alumni Association president.  ASU President Brian J. May will also attend.

Cake and refreshments will be served following the ceremony, and ring recipients will get the opportunity to touch their rings to the horns of ASU’s Rambouillet ram mascot, Dominic, for strength, or rub them through his wool for luck.  Students wear the ASU ring with the school name facing them.  When they receive their degrees, they will turn their rings around to symbolize that they are ready to face the world.

The Alumni Association conducts the Ring Ceremony each spring and fall in advance of ASU’s commencement ceremonies.

For more information or to make reservations for the Ring Ceremony, call the Alumni Association at 325-942-2122.
