Angelo State University’s new Veterans Educational and Transitional Services (VETS) Center will host an open house this Friday, May 3, in the Houston Harte University Center, 1910 Rosemont Drive.
The event will run from 1-5 p.m. and is open free to the public.  The VETS Center is located in Room 113 of the University Center.  Staff will be on hand to provide tours and information on the enrollment, financial aid, academic, transfer, tutoring and social services available to veteran students and their families.  Light refreshments will be served.

The purpose of the VETS Center is to help veterans and their families be successful in their pursuit of higher education.  To that end, it works in cooperation with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and the Texas Veterans Commission.

ASU has also been designated a “Military Friendly School” by G.I. Jobs magazine for four consecutive years.

More information on the VETS Center is available online at www.angelo.edu/dept/veterans/.
