ASU’s ‘Night of Brass’

ASU's Department of Visual and Performing Arts is presenting a concert entitled “Night of Brass” at 7:30 p.m. this Tuesday, April 7, in the ASU Auditorium. This concert is free to the public. 

Concert participants will include the ASU Trumpet Ensemble, the ASU Tuba-Euphonium Quartet, the SAISD Trumpet Ensemble and the San Angelo Area High School Select Trumpet Ensemble.

The ASU Trumpet Ensemble performs regularly in concert here, as well abroad with nationally known performers. In 2014, the ensemble traveled to Philadelphia, southern New Jersey and New York City to work with top performers in area orchestras, chamber ensembles, jazz groups and the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra.

The San Angelo Area High School Select Trumpet Ensemble includes students from Central, Lake View, Christoval and Water Valley high schools who have met weekly to prepare for this concert

The program has been designed to offer the audience a lot of diversity in style and instrumentation.
