Baptist Retirement Community Auxiliary will be hosting a huge Bake Sale this Friday, November 15 at 8:00 a.m.- noon or until they are sold out.
The Sale will be held in two locations—Gift Shop lobby near the Chapel at 902 N. Main with some additional baked items in the High Rise lobby at 903 Main. The proceeds will go toward assisting with life-enriching projects that benefit seniors in the senior living community.  There will be numerous homemade baked items consisting of breads, pies, cakes, cookies, brownies, and preserves.

The Auxiliary is made up of about 250 members, who will be making all of these items for sale.  This is one of their main fundraisers for the year while volunteering around 30,000 hours a year on average to serve fellow seniors. The State of Texas estimated that approximately one hour of volunteer work is worth $22.57, which means that volunteers in the auxiliary are committing $677,100 worth of unpaid volunteer work for the good of the community.

The auxiliary is comprised of outstanding individuals who believe in giving back to those who need it while they are still physically able to do so.   Come out and see what wonderful, delicious items you can purchase for you and your family to enjoy now and during the holidays! Come out and stock up!
