Genevieve Pfluger Mejia, M.D. is an obstetrician and gynecologist at San Angelo Community Medical Center, and also serves as the Medical Director for the Laura Bush Institute of Women’s Health. This program provides free mammograms for the under-insured and uninsured. In this video, Dr. Mejia discusses the importance of leading a healthy lifestyle. Maintaining a healthy weight, diet, doing daily exercise, limiting alcohol intake and menopausal hormone replacement therapy have all been proven to prevent breast cancer.
