Community Volunteers Create Scholarship
The San Angelo Area Foundation announced today that the Community Medical Center Auxiliary Volunteers created a scholarship fund with the Foundation to assist students attending Howard College seeking to become a health care professional.
The San Angelo Area Foundation announced today that the Community Medical Center Auxiliary Volunteers created a scholarship fund with the Foundation to assist students attending Howard College seeking to become a health care professional.
The volunteers have raised more than $40,000 which will provide for a $2,000 scholarship each year starting this next year, with hopes of adding more to the fund with future donations, increasing the number of scholarships and awards.
"This is a great day for our community and students at Howard College seeking to pursue education in the health care field”, said Foundation President & CEO, Matt Lewis. “These community auxiliary volunteers are dedicated to making sure health care continues to be a great asset in our community.”
