If you’re in town this weekend, there’s no shortage of fun things to do around San Angelo, but make sure you leave a little time to head over to the Concho Valley Bluegrass Festival.

Beginning Friday, the highly popular Concho Valley Bluegrass Festival kicks off at 4:30 at the Wells Fargo Pavilion and continues at 11 a.m. on Saturday. The festival will host six bands from around Texas while raising money for the Concho Valley Home for Girls/Children's Emergency Shelter.

For those planning on attending, chairs are provided, but you may bring your own. Drinks will be free, and concession stands will be open for lunch and dinner. There will also be a few items for auction at the event.
