It's time for another 'Concho Valley: You Decide'! This week, we've got an old folk song that the Turnpike Troubadours turned into one of their biggest hits. The song we're talking about is 'Long Hot Summer Days'. It was originally written and recorded by the late John Hartford back in the 70's.

Before Turnpike recorded the song, I had never heard it. I'm not sure how they came across the song, but I'm glad they did. And I'm sure they are glad they did as well as it has become a staple of their high energy live shows.
