Cover Songs In The Texas Red Dirt Scene – Johnny, Sean and Casey – Who Is Better
I love going to concerts and hearing all he original tunes but something I really look forward to would be the cover tunes. I've heard them all from Gin and Juice to Reading Rainbow, Scooby Doo to MMMBop.
After the blog yesterday titled 'Teen Sings World’s Greatest Cover of “I’m Sexy and I Know It”' some people started asking me who I thought did a better cover in the Texas/Red Dirt Scene so I decided we'd have another competition. My favorite cover is probably Sean McConnell with Dirty Diana. Sean McConnell has just got such a smooth voice and the talent brought on stage by Sean and the guys is out of this world. I could write a completely separate blog on why Sean McConnell is awesome but I'll save that for a rainy day.
Here's the deal guys, I want to know which cover you like the best. You've got three options on this one. Johnny Cooper does a great rendition of 'Waterfalls' by TLC. There's the Casey Donahew Band taking care of 'Ice Ice Baby' by Vanilla Ice. Of course we can't leave out my favorite, Sean McConnell with 'Dirty Diana' by Michael Jackson. All three artists do fantastic renditions and are very talented, watch the videos and be sure to vote below. I'll announce the winner on air Friday afternoon.
Johnny Cooper- Waterfalls
Casey Donahew Band- Ice Ice Baby (about 1 minute in)
Sean McConnell- Dirty Diana
