Cross Canadian Ragweed Announced Their Breakup 7 Years Ago Today

It was on this date, May 19th in 2010, the press release announcing the band Cross Canadian Ragweed was “taking a break” hit the music world! Of course we all know that 'break' turned out to be permanent! They gave us some awesome music during an almost 15 year run.

These guys were very close friends. Grady Cross, Cody Canada, Randy Ragsdale and Jeremy Plato grew up together, watched each other get married and start their families. The time came when together they made the decision that it was time to break up.

Cross Canadian Ragweed recorded and toured constantly. Including their live albums, they recorded about 10 projects and performed well over r200 shows a year. Hopefully you have a great collection of their music to enjoy!

After the split, Cody Canada formed a new band of incredibly talented members...'The Departed' which has been enjoying quite a successful run for years now, even with Seth James, one of the founding members, deciding to go back to his solo career.
