‘Skarping’ May Be the Newest Form of Extreme Fishing
Could we be seeing this (or are we already seeing this) at area lakes here in the Concho Valley? It's the new extreme fishing sport called ‘skarping’.
You may have seen videos of ‘jumping carp’ that have taken over a few rivers and lakes across the U.S. The carp are not a welcome site, and they can be a hazard to boaters. Often times dozens of these carp can be seen flying through the air every second.
Well a group of fellas up in Illinois decided to make an extreme sport out of catching these fish. It combines skiing, football, basketball, and even some lacrosse skills are necessary. And they call it ‘skarping’. Check out the above hilarious video.
