George Strait Shares His Hangover Cure

A lot of people will be ringing in the New Year with plenty of alcoholic beverages. Some will certainly overdo it a bit and wake up feeling a little rough! George Strait has revealed his hangover cure, just in time for your New Year’s Eve celebrations.

While on a small tour to promote his Tequila brand, Codigo Tequila, George shared a Mexican cuisine that helps take the pain away.

In an interview with The Daily Beast, Strait gave his take on drinking and tequila, along with his go-to hangover cure...Menudo.

“It’s tripe soup. It’s very, very tasty,” Strait says. “When I happen to have the occasional hangover, which I try not to, if I can get Menudo, that’s what I get.”

Strait went on to say he doesn’t drink all that often anymore. He’ll down a shot of tequila with his band before heading out for an encore, but that’s about it. That being said, it’s fun to know what the King of Country will be eating if he finds himself with a morning after headache.

Many of you already know about Menudo and that it is available at some Mexican Restaurants in and around San Angelo. If you find yourself with that celebration hangover....You might want to take a little advice from George Strait when looking for a cure!
