Today is Andy Rooney’s Birthday

Andy was born on January 14th, 1919.

Many of us followed Andy Rooney's weekly CBS commentary on '60 Minutes' for many years. He was actually on the program from 1978-2011 and had been a writer/ radio and television broadcaster for many years before that.

He had such a unique insight into every day events. Andy had a way of spinning the content of a story no matter what the subject in a way that would captivate his audience with his common sense approach to life.

I found a video of his final '60 Minutes' broadcast on CBS which aired October 2nd, 2011. Andy died just one month later at the age of 92.
