The San Angelo Nature Center will host two holiday-themed evening events in the coming weeks.
Holidaze at the Nature Center will be from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 21. Free candy and cocoa will be available for all who attend. Admission is free for Nature Center members, while non-members will cost $3 each. The Nature Center will be selling memberships for $20 this day only; memberships normally cost $25 for a family.

Attendees are encouraged to bring cell phones and cameras to pose for photos with a python, Santa and a bunny. There will be a petting zoo, as well.

The Nature Center, will host a New Year’s Eve slumber party for children from 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 31, to 8 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 1. The youngsters will play games, make crafts, watch movies, and interact with and learn about the Nature Center animals.

Participants, who must be at least 5 years old, will need a sleeping bag, pillow, pajamas and any other sleepover supplies. An evening snack and a light breakfast will be provided.

 The cost is $25 for Nature Center members and $35 for non-members. All fees must be paid by Dec. 29.
