The Country Music Association (CMA) revealed the 2016 recipients of the organization's International Awards Yesterday (3/21) after a successful Country To Country (C2C) music festival in the U.K.

CMA CEO Sarah Trahern said "Advancing Country music around the world is central to CMA's mission, and we are delighted to acknowledge the exhaustive efforts of our international and domestic colleagues and their dedication to developing new territories and fans for Country music beyond our U.S. borders".

Among the CMA awards handed out, Mercury Nashville’s Kacey Musgraves was presented with the International Artist Achievement Award during the C2C festival in London where she also performed.

This award recognizes outstanding achievement by a US based artist who has demonstrated the most significant creative growth, development and promotion of the Country Music industry outside of the United States during the eligibility period.

Some of the previous Winners of this award include The Mavericks, Shania Twain, Reba McEntire, Lonestar, the Bellamy Brothers, Dolly Parton, Keith Urban, Dwight Yoakam, Brooks & and Dunn, and Braid Paisley among others.

The Grammy award-winning singer-songwriter sold out the entire overseas leg of her headlining tour, 'The Kacey Musgraves Country & Western Rhinestone Revue', which ended Sunday night after an eight-city trek across four countries.

The tour, which completed its domestic run earlier this fall, hit six dates in the U.K. and included a performance at London’s iconic Royal Albert Hall. Musgraves also played to sold-out crowds in Germany, Ireland, and the Netherlands.

Now as she returns to the U.S., she will be touring Nashville, Austin, North & South Carolina, Las Vegas, New York, Chicago, Canada, Washington State, and numerous other upcoming dates.
