Grammy award winning Kacey Musgraves is standing her ground when it comes to not changing any of the lyrics to her latest single, 'Biscuits'.

Kacey Musgraves' sophomore album, Pageant Material, is due out June 23, but the first single, 'Biscuits', has yet to climb the country radio charts as fast as hoped for. It's quite possible that one of the lines in the song has a lot of programmers hesitant to add it to their playlist because it contains the lines: Pourin' salt in my sugar won't make yours any sweeter / Pissin' in my yard ain't gonna make yours any greener, which her label suggested she change to "spitting in my yard" for the radio version. Kacey refused. She told Rolling Stone,

People are so worried about offending that they water down everything. Come to a show, and that's the line everyone loves. Don't take that away from me!

Writers can be very protective of their work, and so far, Kacey is not giving in to any change in her song. She is very talented both as a writer and performer and has been very successful so far in her career. Perhaps her strong will has played a big part in that success.

Kacey is currently touring all over the country promoting her new album, with her only stop in Texas for a while being at the Austin 360 Amphitheater on July 4th. Check out the music video and judge for yourself if any of the lyrics should be edited or not. We play this song on the air, so let us know if you're offended by the controversial word.
