Jack Ingram posted an article today on his Facebook page from Texas Monthly that was written a few years back. The article gathered some legendary songwriters in Texas together to talk about songwriting. Included in the discussion were Guy Clark, Patty Griffin, Sonny Throckmorton, Robert Earl Keen and of course Jack Ingram himself.

If you're an aspiring songwriter, it's a great read to go back and review. Here's a little sample from Robert Earl Keen how he gets settled into writing a song,

I’ve got a little shack between Bandera and Kerrville I call the Scriptorium. I go out there and stay by myself and eat venison sausage and bang on guitars and read books for ten days at a time.
