Lubbock Band Making Its Way To San Angelo – Logan Taylor & The Thunderbirds

There are great Texas Red Dirt band from all over, some are great and some aren't.  I stumbled across an outfit out of the Lubbock area that I feel deserves a fair shot.  They've got a great sound and they'll be at Blaine's Pub this Saturday.

Logan Taylor & The Thunderbirds will be playing Blaine's Pub this Saturday making their San Angelo debut.  A Lubbock based group comprised of five talented musicians and songwriters.  They released a tune to Texas radio a couple months back titled 'Seventeen' which you can hear on Kickin' Country 103.1.  The self-titled album set to release August 2012 includes 'Seventeen' along with other originals.  I've heard the album already and can tell you it's pretty dang good.  You can definitely hear the influences from Bingham to Dylan, Willie to The Beatles in the writing and musicianship.  I'm looking forward to seeing where and how far these guys will go.  Logan and the guys can be found attending South Plains College when they aren't giggin' on the road.  Come on out to Blaine's Pub this Saturday and check the show out, you won't be disappointed.
