If you don’t want to have a large vegetable garden that takes a lot of time to maintain, you’ll want to come to this month’s “Lunch ‘n’ Learn” Gardening Class. Allison Watkins, AgriLife Extension Horticulturist, will be conducting the class on Edible Landscaping.
You’ll learn about how to incorporate vegetables into your landscape. You’ll also learn about other edible flowers and plants that may already be in your garden. The class is this from noon to 1 p.m. Bring your questions about your landscape challenges, too. The class will be held in the Commissioners’ Court on the second floor of the Ed B. Keys building, 113 W. Beauregard. Cost is only $5 per class. Bring your lunch.

The proceeds from the classes will go to The People/Plant Connection to start building the education garden in Rio Vista Park. If you would like more information about The People/Plant Connection, call 325-656-3104. For questions about the classes call Allison Watkins at the County Extension office, 325-659-6528.
