Matt Hillyer has been the frontman for one of the coolest bands on earth - the very successful honky tonk band Eleven Hundred Springs - for years. Now, Hillyer's got a solo project, 'If These Old Bones Could Talk', and he's out promoting the new album.

Hillyer stopped by KTXD-TV in Dallas-Fort Worth to give an acoustic performance of 'A Little Less Whiskey', the first single off the new CD. About the new album, Matt explains that "If you're a fan of Eleven Hundred Springs, you'll like this record. It's just, I felt like doing something on my own". I am, and I do. Check it out here:

Matt Hillyer - 'A Little Less Whiskey'

'If These Old Bones Could Talk' is receiving high praise in the Metroplex, including the Dallas Observer listing Hillyer's solo CD atop their list of the best North Texas country albums in 2014. I'd call that conservative, as it's one of the best true country albums I've heard anywhere, in years. It has a great throwback vibe that reaches back into the rich history of country music and revives an era of the genre that has been ignored - or underserviced - for too long. It's a country music purists dream.

'If These Old Bones Could Talk' is now available, and you can download the full CD on iTunes today.
