Heralded as the ambassador of cowboy music, Michael Martin Murphey is a highly regarded singer, songwriter, producer, and advocate for social and environmental change. He is a Texas native with a career spanning nearly five decades. It's going to be a great show tonight at the Fort Concho Stables at 6:30 pm.

Michael's debut album "Geronimo's Cadillac" takes us all the way back to 1972. His first hit "Wildfire" in 1973 was a huge single and is still his signature song.

His latest album is called "Red River Drifter" and has received numerous awards this year.

He is the recipient of numerous gold records, music industry awards and honors, plus many of his songs have been recorded by others such as Lyle Lovett, Cher, and John Denver, just to name a few.

Murphey has built a career singing about the West and is one of the few musicians who lives in his songs.
