Sam Riggs & Mike Ryan Bring ‘Snow Drifts & Ski Lifts’ To San Angelo
Get ready for two dynamic singer/songwriters sharing the stage tonight in a song swap at Midnight Rodeo. Sam Riggs and Mike Ryan have included San Angelo among a limited number of venues for their "Snow Drifts & Ski Lifts" tour.
In 2007 Sam Riggs’ moved from his home base in Florida to Austin, Texas after some friends brought him a Reckless Kelly CD. The sound energized Riggs and made him realize that this was the musical sound he had been waiting for that could fit him. Sam was already a commercially-viable songwriter when he met Ray Wylie Hubbard, who recognized Riggs' talent and helped him to focus his abilities. Riggs will be the first to say that Hubbard taught him what it really is to be a songwriter”. Sam's debut release is called "Outrun The Sun".
Mike Ryan is a singer/songwriter with a knack for pairing lyrics with music that breathe life into a song. Many would agree that Mike has established himself when it comes to penning clever new tunes. Smooth and soulful, he has uncommon vocal ability. "Night Comes Falling", was Mike's first full length album released in 2012. Tonight, you will also be hearing music from the release of his sophomore album, "Bad Reputation".
Come on out to Midnight Rodeo tonight and check these two guys out on stage at the same time.It promises to be a fun time once again. Kickin' Country 103.1 will be broadcasting live from 9-11 pm tonight. I'll be looking for you and your friends!
