Over the weekend I was in funky Fort Worth for mom's birthday and had a big time.

I made the venture home to celebrate mom's birthday and had a great time with friends and family.  Right before I pulled into Fort Worth a friend of mine who has been living in Arkansas gave me a ring on the phone saying she was hanging out in Keller.  Since that's where my folks live I decided to stop off and have a cold beer before heading to the house. I hadn't seen Samantha in about a year and a half so we had a lot of catching up to do, had to make it two beers.  The next day I awoke to my parents devil dog barking for reasons nobody knows.  Mom was excited to show me her new car and dad was excited I could help him move furniture.  Once those were said and done I had to run to Grapevine for a tux fitting, oh so fun.  Samantha hit me up and was bored so she met me in Southlake and we headed out.  After the fitting we went to a farmer's market called Sprouts to see what exotic meats they had.  I know that's kind of random but I stumbled across some Kangaroo, Bison and Elk meat and had to buy some.  When I got home dad and I threw some steaks on the grill and whipped up all the fixin's to go with it and we had a family dinner.  Afterwards we just kind of hung out and had some family time which is nice since I don't get to see them that often.  Sunday morning dad woke me up and said we had to install a ceiling fan in mom's craft room or whatever it's called.  By the time we were done with the fan it was time to pack up and head home and what do ya know, mom did laundry for me.  When I actually lived at home that NEVER happened.  All in all it was a great trip and I'll be heading back that way next Saturday but this time my brother and his family will be there.  I can't wait to see me niece and nephew.
