New Music Showdown: Turnpike Troubadours Vs Josh Abbott Band

This week on the New Music Showdown we have two heavy hitters in the Texas/Red Dirt scene.  The Turnpike Troubadours go toe to toe with the Josh Abbott Band.

Two of the Concho Valley favorites happen to send us new music at the same time and you know what that means, time for some friendly competition.  The Turnpike Troubadours have delivered yet another high energy, make ya get up and dance song.  Before The Devil Knows We're Dead isn't just a long title, it's a legit song from the Goodbye Normal Street album.  It has sort of a grim topic about flirting with disaster and trying to get to heaven.  Musically it has everything I would expect and want from the Turnpike Troubadours.  Take a listen and cast your vote.

In the other corner is Mr. Josh Abbott and the Josh Abbott Band with their new one, She Will Be Free.  This one is the fourth release from the album Small Town Family Dream and is sure to be another hit!  Josh Abbott has wooing crowds since busting into the Texas Music scene back in 2008 and shows no signs of slowing down.  The ladies are sure to this love song.  Enjoy!
