We have all been spoiled living in the Concho Valley recently with the amount of live music coming through.  Pretty much Wednesday-Sunday there is a show going on but this week we all have to wait until the weekend.

Well, there aren't any Texas Country shows in San Angelo until Saturday.  So what to do until then?  I've got a few things that could occupy your time.  Depending on what you enjoy there's bound to be something here for you.

Tonight, Wednesday night, is vinyl night at The Penny Pub & Grill.  You don't have to be in to vinyls or even own any to take part in the weekly tradition.  You can find Bob Simpson hanging out there having a cold Lone Star beer and digging through the extensive collection he brings each week along with some other vinyl regulars.  You never know, there could be some old records hidden back in your closet or attic, it's worth digging them out and swinging by for a beer and some great tunes.  If you work up an appetite while shooting pool, throwing darts or just hanging out be sure to check out the Penny's menu for some good eats.

Thursday night is College Night at Midnight Rodeo. I know school is out but obviously if you're reading this trying to find something to do, you're still in town.  They've got some great drink specials and the club DJ Aaron Gette will be spinning all your favorite country and dance tunes.  On College Night there is no cover, 18 and up welcome, $1 well drinks, $2 most longnecks and $3 almost everything else.  Not too shabby if you ask me.

Friday night would be a great time to take a stroll through downtown San Angelo to check out some of the newer venues in town.  Kick off your night by grabbing some food and trying some of the eclectic beers at the new Zero One Ale House.  For more on Zero One Ale House check out 'Zero One Ale House- My New Favorite Place To Drink And Eat'.  If you want some live music there is always The Deadhorse, Favors For Favors will be playing along with Tablespoon.  If that's not your style there is The Office, a newer 'club' that has DJ's on the weekends.  If frozen drinks tickle your fancy check out Grinner's Daiquiri Bar.  For more on Downtown San Angelo click the link and check out the website.

There are plenty of things to hold you over until Saturday evening when the concerts kick back up.  Whether you check out Bob Simpson and Ryan Beaver at Stillwater Bar & Grill, the Thieving Birds at Blaine's Pub or both you are bound to have a great week and weekend.  We may even run into each other and if we do, the beers are on you.  I'm kidding, but seriously.  See you out there.
