The nominees for the 2016 Grammy's were announced Monday, and Kickin' artists are well represented.

Hayes Carll is up for Best Country Song for 'Chances Are' which was recorded by Lee Ann Womack for her album The Way I'm Livin'. The song is also up for Best Country Solo Performance for Womack.

Patty Griffin's album Servant Of Love is up for the Best Folk Album Grammy.

Kacey Musgraves' Pageant Material is up for Best Country Album. Kacey is up against some stiff competition with Chris Stapleton's Traveller and Ashley Monroe's The Blade also nominated in the category.

Jason Isbell also scored a couple of Grammy nominations. His song '24 Frames' is up for Best American Roots Song. And his album Something More Than Free is up for Best Americana Album. The Mavericks and Emmylou Harris and Rodney Crowell join Isbell in both categories.
