On Sept. 29, 2004, Randy Travis was honored with a well deserved star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The Grand Ole Opry member received his star at a great time in his career. It came about two years after the release of Travis’ crossover No. 1 hit, “Three Wooden Crosses,” plus he was getting ready to release his gospel album, 'Passing Through', and had just released 'The Very Best of Randy Travis' collection.

Travis had also earned recognition as a Hollywood star as well, having had more than 30 movie credits to his name, including appearing in such films as At Risk, The Rainmaker and Baby Geniuses.

He was certainly deserving of the honor. Randy has got a lot of fans out there!
