I am taking two weekends off in September and wanted to give you a heads up.  I'll be venturing to Fort Worth as well as College Station for some sporting events.

In the midst of concerts at Midnight Rodeo, Blaine's and Stillwater mixed with Miles Cotton Fest I'm getting away two weekends in September.  I'll be taking Sept. 14th-16th off for a Texas Rangers game in D/FW and Sept. 28th-30th for the Arkansas vs. Texas A&M game.  September 15th I'm taking my parents and friend Jessi to a Texas Rangers game in Arlington which is always a good time.  They are playing the Seattle Mariners which I think is pretty cool as the last time I went to a Rangers game it was against the Mariners when Ken Griffey Jr. was popular.  Why did I pick that game you ask?  I didn't, I'm taking everybody for my dad's birthday and that's the game he wanted to check out.  Hopefully it won't be too hot... who am I kidding, it will be.

September 29th is a big day for me and what better way to spend it than watching my favorite NCAA football team destroy my second most disliked NCAA football team with one of my good friend and brother in radio, Adam Drake.  I'm talking about the Southwest Classic.  Texas A&M will host this year as the Razorbacks charge the field and make it a fourth Arkansas victory since the rivalry resumed in 2009.  Arkansas leads the series with 41 victories while Texas A&M only has 24 and just three ties in this rivalry that was started over 100 years ago in 1903.  Both schools have some of the most die hard fans I've seen in college football and this being the first same conference game, it should be interesting.  Pig Sooie!  Go Hogs!
