A longhorn bull was the talk of the Fort Worth Stockyards when it sold at auction this week.

According to Chron.com, the bull sold at auction to buyers from Fayetteville, Texas for $165,000. The couple with the purchasing bid actually came ready to pay up to a million dollars if needed for the top bid, but for whatever reason, others backed out early in the bidding and they got a heck of a deal.

Experts expected him to fetch at least $500,000.

The bull, named “Cowboy Tuff Chex,” is originally from Oklahoma, but will now make his home in Texas.

Chex holds a Guinness World Record for the longest horn span on a bull...measuring  101 inches from one tip to the other.

Currently, the couple has a hundred longhorns in their possession. They plan to use Chex for breeding, and say he will live the high-life once he gets to the farm. The buyers said...“Our guys will know: You do not make Tuff do anything he doesn’t want to do. He’s the VIP of the ranch.”
