On Friday, August 16, 2013, just before 1:00 p.m., San Angelo Police received a 911 call about a Robbery that just occurred in the 3200 block of Guadalupe Street in San Angelo.
Within minutes, police arrived at the location and met with a 24 year-old man who told them he had just been assaulted and robbed by two suspects who were still inside the residence.   Police learned the victim had gone to the residence to look at items the suspects were offering for sale.  Once inside the residence, the victim began to look at the items when suddenly the two suspects assaulted him and stole his wallet.  The suspects then threatened him with further bodily injury if he reported the incident to police.

Police established a perimeter around the residence and attempted to contact the suspects several times, however; no one would answer the door or respond to telephone calls.  While on scene, police learned the male suspect allegedly assaulted an elderly female at the residence the previous evening and the female victim was reportedly still inside.  The SAPD Criminal Investigations Division was notified about the incidents and they promptly worked to obtain a Search Warrant.  The SAPD S.W.A.T. Team was also requested at the location.

Shortly after S.W.A.T. members began to arrive at the location, the front door of the residence opened and a man and woman emerged.  The man, identified as the suspect, was taken into custody without incident and identified as Stacy M. Garcia.  The female, later identified as the property owner, advised police the second suspect was still inside.  After a brief search of the residence, the second suspect was located hiding behind furniture.  She was identified as Jacquie Barnes.  Both suspects were confirmed to be residents at the location.

Garcia and Barnes were charged with Robbery and transported to the Tom Green County Jail without incident.

Police located several items of suspected stolen property at the residence and anticipate the location of this property to clear several other active investigations.

This is an ongoing investigation and additional charges may be filed at a later date.

The victim suffered minor injuries as a result of the incident.|
