Robert Earl Keen will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the recording of one of the best Texas/Red Dirt and Americana albums ever: No. 2 Live Dinner.

REK and his band will return to the venue where they made their iconic recording in 1995. The anniversary concert will take place on Saturday, September the 12th at Floore's Country Store in Helotes, Texas just outside of San Antonio.

I still remember the first time I heard No. 2 Live Dinner. A radio station was playing the album in its entirety back in the late 90s. I was glued to the songs and the stories Robert would tell in between tunes.

The album is considered a benchmark recording on the Texas/Red Dirt and Americana scene. Artists like Randy Rogers, Wade Bowen and Bruce Robison have cited the album as major influences on their careers.

The night is sure to be a blast and expect some stories from REK new and old.
