This week in the Concho Valley, you'll find a number of things to do including a play, an art day, movie night, Chicken Farm Festival, and more.

Angelo Civic Theatre presents 'Into The Woods' with storybook characters  brought together for a timeless yet relevant piece and rare modern classic. The Theatre is located at 1936 Sherwood Way. For more information, call 949-4400.

The Concho Valley Farmers Market offers locally grown and seasonal fruits, vegetables and plants for sale every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday starting at 7 am under the pavilion at 609 S. Oakes St. across from Fort Concho.

This Thursday, Sept.1st enjoy another Art Thursday at the San Angelo Museum of Fine Art Education Studio! They always feature clay and watercolor, and every three weeks there are two new art projects to try. Visitors are welcome to drop in anytime between 3 pm and 6 p.m.

This Friday, Sept. 2nd, enjoy another 'Downtown Movie Night'. This week's featured movie is 'Avengers - Age of Ultron' which starts around 9 pm. It's free and you're invited to bring your own chairs. Sept. 3rd brings you another 1st Saturday at the Old Chicken Farm Art Center, a monthly celebration of art, music and community. There will be artist vendors with handmade works and gifts, a live music circle hosted by the Chicken Pickers, great food, and free clay art experiments for kids to participate in. It's good family fun for everyone from 10 am - 5 pm. The Chicken Farm Art Center is located at 2505 Martin Luther King Blvd. For more information, call 653-4936.
