Charlyn Ocker, President/CEO of San Angelo's Meals For The Elderly paid me a visit today on the 'Kickin' Wake-Up Call' to tell us about this years Mardi Gras Celebration!

This will be the 16th Annual Meals For The Elderly Mardi Gras Celebration which will be held in the McNease Convention Center on Fat Tuesday, Feb. 9th starting at 5:30 pm.

Charlyn said that the event was originally held in the Cactus Hotel 16 years ago but as it grew in popularity they needed to expand to a much larger venue. The way it is going, the coliseum will probably be next.

We talked about the numerous food booths that will be there for you to enjoy.

They also have lots of games to play like a Texas Hold 'Em Poker Tournament, Bingo, and a lot more. There will even be a kids area for Mardi Gras fun.

There is also a huge silent auction and so much more.
