According to Forbes Magazine, San Angelo is among the top 25 places in the United States to retire to.  A few things were taken into account like economy, cost of living, taxes, etc. but, San Angelo won it's way into the list with our weather, median housing prices, and cost of living being 9% lower than the national average. Plus, not mentioned on the list, there are all the great things you can do here: San Angelo Museum of Art, the Civic Theater and Ballet, plays, symphonies, college sports, art walks Fort Concho, rodeo, and so much more. Though, apparently, everyone else just loves West Texas the way we do because Abilene and Fredricksburg made it on the list, as well as Austin!
