Sonrisas Trails invites everyone to enjoy ‘Boots, Buckles, And Pearls’, this Friday, April 21st at the 1st Community Federal Credit Union Spur Arena starting at 6:30 pm. Enjoy a steak dinner, live and silent auctions, complimentary beer and wine, and live music with the Bellamy Brothers! Tickets are $75 per person. The West Texas Meltdown Chili Cookoff for Autism will be at the Water Valley Park this Saturday, April 22nd. Entry fee is $18.00 and turn in time is 2 pm. There’s a cake auction, raffles, and more. Call Laura for more details at 374-8800 or Janice at 947-8753.

The San Angelo Cowboy Church and Cowgirls in Christ of West Texas present Stars on the Trail this Saturday, April 22nd at Ft. Concho Stables. Enjoy a barbeque dinner plus a concert featuring Jean Prescott, Cowboy Poet Teresa Burleson and Western Swing artist Mikki Daniel. Get your tickets now at the Cowboy Church office at 4015 N. The Downtown Stroll is this Thursday, April 20th from 5-9 pm featuring a variety of galleries and art exhibits, restaurants, merchants, museums, library exhibits, music venues, and more. Enjoy free trolley rides with stops along the way starting at 6:00 pm. The Downtown Stroll is sponsored by Downtown San Angelo, Inc., Cultural Arts District & The San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts. The West Texas Jazz Orchestra presents their ‘Play It Again’ Concert this Sunday, April 23rd at 2:00 p.m. at the Art Museum. Tickets for the Play It Again concert are $10.00 for the general public, $8.00 for Art Museum members, $5.00 for students, senior citizens, and members of the military. Tickets may be purchased at the door or by calling the Art Museum at 653-3333.

The SAFE Recycling Center is celebrating Earth Day with no drop off fees for large appliances and electronics including TVs, computer monitors, and related items this Friday, April 21st through Sunday the 23rd. You can have documents shredded on Saturday from 9-Noon for free, limit 6 boxes per vehicle. Residential yard brush can be dropped off across the street. The 12th Annual West Texas Boys Ranch Clay Bird Shoot 2017 is this Saturday, April 22nd beginning at 7 am at the San Angelo Clay Bird Association on HWY. 67 South. Breakfast & lunch will be served. The top 3 shooters for each course receive a trophy. Entry fee is $150 per shooter & $1,750 per corporate team. For more information, call the West Texas Boys Ranch at 325-949-1936.

The ASU Kappa Delta Rho Fraternity will have a talent show at 6 pm this Tuesday, April 18th at the ASU Pavilion. There will be an auction after the show where local charities can bid on volunteers to help them with their own events. Refreshments will be available. For more information go to angelostatekdr.com. All proceeds benefit the B Positive Cancer Foundation.

The ASU Chamber Choir and Opera Music Theatre Workshop will present music from Broadway Musicals and Operas at 7:30 in the Cactus Hotel Lobby this Thursday, April 20th. Admission is free and everyone is welcome to attend. Call 942-2085 for more information.
