There are a lot of events and activities to enjoy this week in the Concho Valley. Fort Concho is having some special night tours, there are some great places to get your Halloween pumpkin, there is a Trunk or Treat, a Toys for Tots drive, a free AKC dog show, a golf tournament and more.

Tonight and Tomorrow, October 26 & 27 experience history in a new light as Fort Concho offers special night tours of the site. These tours will show the fort and some interiors in the evening darkness. Guides will share a few stories about the past and note some of the soldiers and civilians who have died at Fort Concho. The Great Pumpkin Patch is open through Halloween at the Sierra Vista United Methodist Church from 9-9 each day. Select from thousands of pumpkins in all sizes for sale along with gourds, Indian Corn and corn stalks. Call Tina at 944-4041 or just stop by 4522 College Hills and check it out.

This Thursday, October 29, the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Council of the Concho Valley and Concho Valley Cares is having their big Community Trunk or Treat from 6-8 pm at Martin Luther King Park, 2121 MLK Blvd. For more information, call 325-224-3481.

The Townsquare Toys for Tots Drive will be this Thursday, Oct. 29th from 3-7 in our parking lot at 1301 South Abe, across from Denny's. Marines will be taking your generous cash donations to help make sure that all kids in the Concho Valley have new toys for Christmas.

Angelo State University and The San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts Present: Art After Dark: Dia de Los Muertos. The San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts and Old Town will host a public event for the community featuring Angelo State University Organizations and local artists this Thursday, October 29th from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. The event is free and open to the public.

There is a free AKC Dog Show this Saturday & Sunday, Oct. 31st & Nov.1st at the Coliseum from 8:30 am - 4:00 pm. A Microchipping Clinic is being held on Sunday from Noon-3:30 pm. The Kiwanis 6th Annual Golf Tournament will be held at the San Angelo Country Club this Friday, Oct 30th. It's a 4 person scramble with a delicious lunch, door prizes, and more. To enter, call Scott at 656-5046 or Debbie at 234-8864.
