This is another great week full of events and activities in the Concho Valley. The San Angelo Livestock Show & Rodeo starts this week, learn how to take care of your trees, new art exhibits, a lip sync battle, and more. Check out this week's list....

The People Plant Connection presents the Family Nature Club - All About Trees class this Saturday, Feb. 6th. Learn how to care for trees, enjoy craft projects for all ages, and there will be refreshments and door prizes. The San Angelo Rodeo Santa Fe Trail Ride 2016 is underway. It actually started on Saturday January 30 and continues through this Saturday, February 6. The Ride started from the Knight Canyon Ranch in Sterling City. There will be Rides from the Fairgrounds to Fort Concho on Friday, February 5th. The San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts is pleased to announce the opening of two new exhibits: A Voyage across Cultures: The Enduring Fascination of Chinese Export Porcelain and BIG: Large-scale Works from SAMFA's Collections. Enjoy the Exhibition this Tuesday through March 27th.

Have you ever wanted to be on stage but haven't had the opportunity? If so then be a part of the Lip Sync Battle this Thursday, Feb. 4th at the House of FiFi DuBois. Entry fee is $10 and all proceeds benefit the Rape Crisis Center. Call 655-2000 to register, sponsor, or volunteer for this fun event.

This Friday evening the San Angelo Symphony/Orchestra presents their first concert of 2016 at 7 pm in the McNease Convention Center. Call 688-5877 for more information.

This Tuesday, February 2nd, Southland Baptist Church presents an evening with Chonda Pierce, one of America's funniest ladies! Tickets are $40 for VIP (limited number available) and $25 for General Admission. Doors open at 6 pm and proceeds will help the Rehab continue to serve the 500 patients seen each day through their 3 facilities!
