It's time once again for the 'Downtown Stroll' this Thursday, May 21st. The evening features a variety of galleries and art exhibits, restaurants, merchants, museums, library exhibits, music venues, and more sponsored by Downtown San Angelo, Inc., & Cultural Arts District. Disney's Tarzan the Musical is this Friday through Sunday, May 20-22 at the Coliseum. Showtimes are Friday and Saturday at 7:30pm and Saturday and Sunday at 2pm. Tickets are $15.00 for adults and $10.00 for students 12, and under and can be purchased in advance online at sabroadwayacademy.org or by calling 325-763-4807. Tickets will also be available at the door 1-hour prior to each performance with doors opening for seating 30 minutes prior to curtain. All tickets purchased in advance will be held at the box office until the night of the performance and all seating is general admission.

You can still sign up for the Tom Green County Relay for Life this Friday, May 20th at Lakeview High School. Enjoy a fun night of food, games, entertainment, and more while you help in the fight against cancer. Call 944-2500 or go to relayforlife.org.

If you love dancing, you are going to love all of the dance groups at 'Anything Goes' this Friday, May 20th at Back Beat Music Company, 102 N. Chadbourne Street. See cloggers, square dancers, ASU Urban Dance Society, San Angelo Swing Dance and others. Tickets are $10 per person and kids under 18 are free if accompanied by an adult. Tickets are on sale at Back Beat Music or by calling 432-466-9391. Proceeds benefit the Family Shelter.

Armed Forces Day is this Saturday, May 21st.  The Military Affairs Committee of the San Angelo Chamber will host a Goodfellow Appreciation Picnic from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.for all active-duty military personnel and their families to show our community’s appreciation for their service. The event will feature food, live entertainment, and family activities for the GAFB service men and women and their families to enjoy at the downtown River Stage.

The People Plant Connection's next Lunch & Learn class is this Friday, May 20th. Agrilife Horticulturist Allison Watkins will give you some great information on vegetable gardening: including soil preparation and the best types to plant. The cost is $5 per person. This Saturday, May 21st enjoy another 'Cactus Market Day' from 10 am until 5 pm in the parking lot across the street from the Cactus Hotel. Shop and buy from local crafters and food vendors. Enjoy the Glory Bound Cloggers from 11 til noon. The Community Booth features the San Angelo Military Order of the Purple Hearts Chapter. Call Judy for vendor information at 949-6200.

The Concho Valley Farmers Market located at 609 S. Oakes Street is open for business. You'll find locally grown fresh produce offered for sale on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 7:00 am - Noon. The Farmers Market will run until the first freeze in the fall.
