As we get ready for Easter this week, know that there are numerous things to enjoy like a huge Easter fest complete with an egg hunt, an EGG-stravaganza, Cactus Market Day, and more...

The 17th Annual Easter Fest hosted by The Life Church is this Saturday, April 15th from 11-2 at Texas Bank sports Complex at 1651 Rio Concho Dr. This is a free event for the whole family including: a huge Easter Egg Hunt with more than 170,000 eggs, plus music, prizes, hotdogs, drinks, face-painting, bounce houses, a rock wall, a barrel train, and a fun candy drop from a helicopter! There will also be a designated field for special needs children and adults so they may hunt for eggs safely, too. For more information, call 325-224-2900.

Every 3rd third Saturday of the month, head downtown for Cactus Market Days. The outdoor market will showcase local crafters, designers and artists who offer a variety of handmade items for sale. Vendors leasing space will be subject to a $20 fee with an additional $5 for an electrical hookup.This monthly arts and crafts fair runs from 10 am to 5 pm at 13 E. Easter EGG-stravaganza is this Saturday, April 15th from 12 noon - 5 pm at San Angelo's Nature Center, 7409 Knickerbocker Rd. Admission is $5 for non-members, $3 for members and free for children younger than 4. Call 325-942-0121 for more information.

ASU's Planetarium offers great Shows Every Thursday at 7 & 8 pm. The newly renovated ASU Planetarium now contains the distinctive combination of a Sci-Dome HD digital projector and large tilted dome theater. The Sci-Dome HD projector is capable of projecting more than 500 million stars and celestial objects. Now showing each Thursday through May 11th...“Cosmic Journey: A Solar System Adventure” at 7 p.m. and “Supervolcanoes” at 8. Admission is just $3 adults, $2 children, military and seniors. Every Thursday enjoy an afternoon of art making in the San Angelo Museum of Fine Art Education Studio! They always feature clay and watercolor, plus every three weeks there are two new art projects to try.
