You are almost out of time to enter the 16th Lights of Christmas Parade which is taking place this Saturday, Dec. 3rd at 6 pm. Everyone is invited to participate and there is no entry fee. Go to conchochristmascelebration.com for an entry form or call 632-4421 for more details.

Christmas at Old Fort Concho is this Friday through Sunday, Dec. 2nd - 4th. Enjoy 3 days of historical recreation, Living History, Displays, Children's Programs, Christmas Shopping, tasty treats, and more Holiday Fun for the whole family. Call 657-4441 or go to fortconcho.com for more information.

The Concho Christmas Celebration will hold its annual Community Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony this Saturday, Dec. 3rd at the corner of South Chadbourne and Concho Avenue beginning at 5:15. Enjoy performances by the San Angelo Community Band and the Twin Mountain Tonesmen as part of the celebration, followed by the Lights of Christmas Parade at 6:00 p.m. The Tree Lighting Ceremony is also the official kick-off for the Christmas Tour of Lights along the Concho River. Everyone is invited to Bike Through the Lights this Sunday, Dec. 4th beginning at 4:30. Go to the YMCA parking lot and ride through the lights until 6:15. The San Angelo Bicycle Association will provide cookies and hot chocolate after the ride. Riders, skaters, and walkers of all ages are welcome to participate.

December 3rd brings you another 1st Saturday at the Old Chicken Farm Art Center, a monthly celebration of art, music and community. The event includes artist, vendors with handmade works and gifts, a live music circle hosted by the Chicken Pickers, great food, and free clay art experiments for kids to participate in. It's good family fun for everyone from 10 am - 5 pm.. The Chicken Farm Art Center is located at 2505 Martin Luther King Blvd. For more information, call 653-4936.

Christmas at the Santa Fe Depot is open from 6-9 every Friday and Saturday evening through December 30th, except for Christmas Day. Santa will be at the Depot during the shows so Children of all ages can talk to him, his helpers and get their pictures taken. The show  features a special Christmas story for children at 7 PM. Also a Christmas Craft room will be open so children can make special Christmas decorations and gifts. Call 486-2140 for more information.

ASU's Theatre presents "Little Women", a full length Comedy play December 1st-4th and 8th-10th at ASU's Modular Dinner Theatre. The play presents the adventures of Jo, Meg, Beth, Amy and Marmee & includes all the great scenes from the book, including the popular Christmas shopping scene. For more information, call 942-2000.

The Concho Christmas Tour of Lights officially begins this Saturday, December 3rd and continues through December 31st. Load everyone into the car and drive the 2.5 miles along the banks of the Concho River through the 'Tour of Lights.' You will see over 3 million lights in a number of holiday displays. The Tour begins on 1st Street & Abe (just north of the Post Office) A donation of $5 per vehicle may be made at start of tour.
