San Antonio is Named A Top Winter Getaway

This time of year, it's always great to spend some time in a beautiful Winter Wonderland. National Geographic recently named San Antonio as one of the best places in the country to visit during the Christmas season.

The San Antonio River Walk is one of the beautiful reasons why. You can enjoy a riverboat ride and see the Christmas lights as they reflect off the water. Carolers are also around, as are bell choirs, folk groups and Latino ensembles, throughout the month of December.

Of course, there are lots of other places to get into the holiday spirit around the city as well. Sea World, for example, also has a beautiful light display that claims to be the largest in Texas. There are also Christmas shows and other events to enjoy around the park.

San Antonio also offers great hotels, shopping and dining. There is a lot of history the city offers as well such as the Alamo!

Some of the other areas on the list include Alaska’s winter wonderland, the coast of Oregon, Washington, D.C. and Park City, Utah.
