SBDC Seminar “Choosing The Right Legal Structure For Your Business”
The Angelo State University · Small Business Development Center will be providing a seminar entitled, “Basics of Business Entities: How to Choose the Right Legal Structure for your Business” Tuesday, August 6, 6:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. at the Business Resource Center Training Room at 69 N. Chadbourne.
Choosing your legal structure is one of the most important decisions you will make when starting a business. At this seminar you will learn the basics of the different types of legal structures and how you can compare them.They will cover what you need to consider such as liability, taxes, duration, complexity, and costs of the different legal structures to help you make the best decision for your business. Learn how to protect your personal assets and learn the tax and legal attributes of each structure, and much more!
The speaker will be Sam Allen, Partner, Jackson Walker, LLP. Sam Allen has been practicing law for over 25 years and specializes in commercial litigation, bankruptcy and insolvency law, commercial transaction, and the organization and sale of businesses, real estate, wealth planning, and probate.
