Singer, songwriter Sean McConnell has taken a hiatus from playing shows in Texas but has announced a six show acoustic tour in the great state of Texas.

Sean McConnell exploded on the Texas Red Dirt music scene, was touring all throughout the Texas Red Dirt coverage area and played numerous festivals.  Then "poof” and just like that he was gone.  Sean has had a number of hits on the Texas music charts, but living in Nashville can make touring in the southwest difficult and expensive.  Regardless, he is at it again.  Sean will be kicking off his acoustic tour in Austin at the Cactus Cafe June 6th then off to New Braunfels and the WhiteWater Amphitheater, Billy Bob's Texas in Fort Worth and College Station at The Tap on June 9th.  He'll take a few days off then be back at it June 13th in North Woodland at Dosey Doe Coffee and conclude the tour at Brewster Street Icehouse in Corpus Christi on June 14th.  He may not be coming to 'west Texas' but lucky for us in San Angelo, most of those towns are just a few hours away.

I've seen Sean play numerous times while living in Fort Worth and highly recommend catching one of these shows.  One of the coolest shows I've seen was the Sean McConnell full band acoustic show in Fort Worth.  Sean plays all the hits from his EPs and albums mixed with some clever covers such as the one I blogged about yesterday, ’Dirty Diana' by Michael Jackson.  The smooth soulful voice, witty songwriting and pure musical talent that comes from Sean and the guys truly is spectacular.  They are a must see for the music connoisseur.

P.S. I have a few free tickets for the Billy Bob's Texas show.  Stop by the station or give us a call if you'd like to pick some up.
