Well the ratings are in and chances are you were watching the Super Bowl yesterday because a new record has been established.  An historic 114.4 million people watched Super Bowl XLIX last night making it the most-viewed program in American history.  That figure beats the old record of 112.2 million who watched the Super Bowl in 2014.  The official rating for the big game was 49.7, meaning 49.7 percent of American homes with televisions were tuned into the Super Bowl.  Advertisers paid more that $4 million for a 30 second ad in this year's game.  It appears the steep price was money well spent.
