The Sweetwater Jaycees stopped by the studios this morning to extend an invitation to everyone in the Concho Valley to come out and attend the 55th Annual Rattle Snake Round Up.

If you have never been to a Rattle Snake Round Up you are missing out on an extremly educational opportunity to see one of West Texas's most dangerous animals up close and learn some great tips to help keep you safe in the times of the unwanted encounters with rattle snakes.

This years round up is going on March 7th-10th, on March 7th there will be a parade and they will crown Miss Snake Charmer. The gates to the festival open on March 8th and will run through March 10th. Even if your not intrested in rattle snakes there is a flee market, gun, knife, and coin show as well as concerts on Friday and Saturday nights.

Friday night you can enjoy the sounds of Mike McClure and on Saturday Eleven Hundred Springs. Tickets for the Round Up are $8 for Adults and $5 for kids under 12. Tickets to the dance are $10 on Friday and $15 per person or $25 per couple on Saturday. The dance is a BYOB event with a cooler charge at the gate.
